I know it's been a while since my last post, but my life has made a complete 360 in the past month. I was laid off from my job after being there for the past 20 months. After completely freaking out and being depressed for the first two weeks, I am back into the swing of life! I started classes at Athens Tech two weeks ago, and this has really helped my state of mind. I take two courses online and travel to Athens four mornings a week for an on-campus class. I am very excited about being back in school and am looking forward to learning lots of new things that will help me in my new career as a Networking Specialist. I am also considering getting another degree as a Computer Support Specialist (dual major).
The financial situation is ironing itself out slowly but surely and I hope to have everything where it needs to be in the next week or so. I hope all of my faithful readers will continue to pray for me.
Lucy has been sick with a touch of the flu since this past Thursday. She had a fever of 103 on Thursday night, so we made a visit to the doctor on Friday. Her flu test was negative, but the doctor informed me that a lot of kids are testing negative but will eventually test positive once the symptoms progress. She ran a fever pretty much all weekend and slept a lot, but is feeling much better today. I kept her out of school another day just to make sure that her fever stays normal (at the doctor's recommendation). We both appreciate all of the prayers, phone calls and Facebook messages!
